(“inthenet.net,” “we,” “us”). By using our website or requesting service, you agree to these terms. If you have a separate written agreement with us, that agreement controls where it differs from these terms.

1. Our services

We provide computer, network, mobile device, website and backup support, on-site and remotely. Before starting work we will explain what we plan to do. For larger jobs we will give you an estimate; estimates are our best judgment and the final cost may change if we find additional problems, in which case we will check with you before going further.

2. Your responsibilities

To help us do the job well, you agree to:

Give us accurate information about the problem and safe access to the equipment involved

Have the authority to let us work on the devices, accounts and networks you ask us to service

Own valid licenses for any software you ask us to install or repair

Keep your own current backup of important data before service begins, unless we provide backup service for you

3. Your data

Repairs can involve risk to stored data, especially on failing hardware. We take care to protect your files, but we are not responsible for data loss that occurs during service unless it was caused by our negligence. We treat everything we see on your systems as confidential, as described in our Privacy Policy.

4. Remote access

Remote support sessions take place only with your permission, and you may end a session at any time. If you agree to ongoing remote access for maintenance, you may withdraw that permission at any time by contacting us.

5. Rates, billing and payment

Services are billed at our current hourly rates or the price quoted in your estimate. Rates are available on request.

After-hours, weekend and holiday emergency calls may be billed at a higher rate; we will tell you the rate when you call.

Parts, hardware and software purchased for you are billed separately.

Invoices are due within 15 days. Unpaid balances may be charged a late fee of 1.5% per month, and we may pause service on accounts that are past due.

6. Appointments and cancellations

If you need to cancel or reschedule an on-site visit, please let us know as soon as you can. There is no cancellation or trip fee.

7. Parts and third-party products

Hardware and software from other companies are covered by their manufacturers’ warranties, not by us. We will help you with warranty claims when we can. We do not guarantee third-party products, services or internet providers.

8. Our workmanship

If a problem we fixed comes back within 30 days because of our work, we will correct it at no extra labor charge. This does not cover new problems, hardware failure, viruses or malware introduced after service, or changes made by you or others.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim related to our services is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service that gave rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost business, or downtime, even if we were told they were possible.

10. Ending service

Either of us may end an ongoing service relationship at any time with written notice. You remain responsible for paying for work already done. When service ends, we will return or delete your stored credentials and backup data as described in our Privacy Policy.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of Thurston County, Washington. We would always prefer to resolve concerns directly first, so please call us.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when they were last changed. Changes do not affect work already agreed to.

14. Contact us

Questions about these terms?
